The Summer Barbeque
As many of you may already know (thanks to your class reps and the PTA), we will be holding our Annual Summer Barbeque in the Orchard at the school on Saturday, 23rd May 2026. The event will run from 12.30pm to 4pm and all past pupils and past and current staff and parents are welcome to come. There is no charge for attending!
This will be a family fun day for our current parents and their children, past parents and past pupils—you are invited to bring your extended family if you would like to do so. As well as meat and vegetarian food, we will also have an ice-cream van (weather permitting) during the afternoon. This year the catering will be done by our in-house caterer (Jenny Wren Catering) and the food will be available from 1pm to 2.30pm on a first-com first-served basis. We will also have soft drinks to purchase and will have a limited ‘sweet’ shop. You are very welcome to bring your own bevies – wine, beer, champagne or whatever you would like to drink!
We will run tours of the school and show you around the new multi-purpose hall. The event will be free, and the only cost will be whatever food and beverages you wish to purchase. Let us know by email (eoin.scott@sps.ie) if you intend to be there, so we have an idea of numbers!
If you are in touch with other parents or past-pupils who may not be aware of this event, please do pass on this invitation. They would be very welcome to come along as well. We look forward to seeing you there.
