Congratulations to Vedh and Will, both 6th-year students, on securing a £15,000 grant from Emergent Ventures (EV), a fund affiliated with the Mercatus Centre at George Mason University. EV operates as a low-overhead fellowship and grant programme, dedicated to supporting entrepreneurs and exceptional minds with innovative ‘zero to one’ ideas aimed at significantly enhancing societal well-being. The grant will fuel the progress of their project, BloodBox, a diagnostic tool for malaria and other blood-related illnesses. These funds will be utilised for critical stages of development, including prototyping, testing, and pilot programmes.
