Important Message from Ronan Walsh and David Bane

September 18, 2024

Dear All,
It is with mixed emotions that we announce the departure of our esteemed Deputy Principal, David Bane, who has been appointed as the new Principal of Mount Temple School. While we are incredibly sad to see him leave Sutton Park School, we are equally delighted and proud of his appointment to such a prestigious position at a fine institution.
Over the past eight years, David’s dedication, leadership, and unwavering commitment have left an indelible mark on our school community. His contributions have been invaluable, and his presence will be greatly missed by students, staff, and parents alike.
We are confident that he will excel in his new role and continue to inspire and lead with the same passion and excellence that he has demonstrated here. We wish him all the best and are backing him to lead the second-best school in Dublin!
Warm regards

Ronan Walsh

Message from David Bane

Dear All

I would like to take this opportunity to share with you that in late November, I will be stepping down from my role as Deputy Principal of Sutton Park School, as I have accepted the position of Principal at Mount Temple Comprehensive School. While this is an exciting new chapter for me, the decision to leave Sutton Park has been a difficult one.

Over the years, it has been an incredible privilege to be part of such a unique and vibrant school community. I have thoroughly enjoyed working alongside the staff, students, and parents, and I am immensely proud of what we have achieved together. Sutton Park’s ethos, rooted in the mission to “nurture, inspire, and empower our students to strive for excellence as responsible global citizens,” has always aligned closely with my own values, and it has been an honour to contribute to this vision.
I also want to acknowledge the unwavering support of the Board of Management and Board of Governors. Their guidance and trust have allowed us to drive forward initiatives that have positively impacted student outcomes and the overall growth of the school. I am grateful for their leadership and commitment.
As I finish up in late November, I remain fully dedicated to supporting the school through this transition period. Sutton Park will always hold a special place in my heart, and I am confident that the school will continue to flourish in the years ahead.
Thank you all for your ongoing support and for making my time at Sutton Park so fulfilling.
With gratitude,
David Bane
Deputy Principal
