The new multi-purpose hall is now open and in use! Following further work to fit out the hall and get it ready for the return of our pupils, the various fittings for basketball, volleyball and badminton are now in place and pupils of all ages are getting to enjoy these sports in a tailor-made environment. And the Ethan Banks Room – a small hall / meeting room is getting great use for everything from yoga to recital space.

Last Thursday (September 4th) we held official celebrations to mark the opening of the new multi-purpose hall. In the morning, the PTA held their parents’ coffee morning in the Ethan Banks room, giving parents the chance to see the new facilities. And then, in the evening, we invited all of our donors and those involved in building the hall to join us for an evening of celebration. This included an exhibition volleyball match, a recital by our school choir and orchestra and speeches from the Chair of our Board of Management (Jeremy Carkner), our Head of School Ronan Walsh and our Business Director Emer Crowley.

The school is very grateful to all of our parents who donated towards the cost of our new hall and who made the building possible – particularly an anchor donor who made a hugely significant donation at the start of our drive to raise financing for the hall. Thank you to all concerned.
