The theme for Stand Up Awareness Week 2024 was ‘Standing Up in Our Communities’, focusing on local actions to demonstrate support for the LGBTQ+ members of our community, and acknowledging the importance of safe and supportive environments to build respectful connections for all. As a ⁠Quality Mark school, Stand Up Awareness Week is an important event in our annual calendar. There were student workshops, a table quiz, displays, assemblies and other activities to mark the occasion. Sutton Park received two national awards in recognition of our efforts: 

Stand Up Awareness Week Visibility Award – recognising efforts to greatly increase visibility and representation of LGBTQ+ identities, leading to meaningful community engagement.
Stand Up Awareness Week Photography Award – for images, including our rainbow ‘SPS’, that effectively captured the essence and energy of the campaign.
